This is Us!

Hi there! First, allow us to say thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to visit our page and explore what it means to be a part of the KJC experience. P. T. Barnum once said, "The noblest art is that of making others happy." That is exactly what photography is for us, a way to make people happy; although it makes us pretty happy too! We are Katherine & Jacob Conrad, a husband & wife photographer team based out of east Texas.

We are the couple behind the lens, the ones that can capture your greatest moments and make them last a lifetime, this is our story...

Katherine has been working with photography since she was seven years old and spent most of her time photographing her cats and any flowers that sprung up in her back yard. As she grew up, Katherine began branching out of her comfort zone and started taking photos of people and learning all she could about her camera. She started her own business when she was 17 under the name, "Katherine's Imaging Studios." Little did she know that in just one year she would meet the man that would not only become her business partner, but also her true love and best friend.

Jacob picked up his first camera in high school not thinking much of it. He grew up being taught that the blue collar way of life was the logical road he was meant to take. He spent most of his time after graduating high school as a commercial diver, underwater welder, and after enduring physical injuries, became a truck driver. He wanted to settle down but had never met the right girl and almost gave up hope.

And then they met...

Katherine and Jacob met during the summer of 2014 when a mutual friend invited them both for a day at the lake. As soon as Jacob laid eyes on her he knew he had found the girl for him. On their first date they met each others families, which was a little intimidating to say the least! However, they didn't scare easily and soon after they were official. In April, only 2 years later, he popped the question.

K&J are now planning their wedding, planning a future, almost finished with a college degree. Together, they worked together, became partners, and are rebranding Katherine's company into "KJC Photography."

And the rest, as they say, is history.
